Join us for Thiruvonam 2025, GAMA’s grand Onam celebration, where we aim to create an unforgettable experience for the entire Malayalee community in Austin. This year’s festivities will feature a spectacular Onam Sadya, a special visit from Maveli, and many more surprises.

Registrations need to be completed by an adult.
Important Deadlines
- Registration Closes: July 20, 2025
- Audition tape/script for skit – Submission Deadline: August 3, 2025
- Audio files must be submitted to onam@gama.ngo Submission Deadline :August 10, 2025
- Audio file saving format: EventName_TeamName (e.g., GroupDance_DesiGirls)
This is your opportunity to showcase your talents in dance, music, drama, miming, and more. Let this be your moment to shine and captivate the audience!
Program Categories & Time Limits
- Rangapooja: 5 minutes
- Group Dance: 6 minutes
- Group Song: 8 minutes
- Thiruvathira: 8 minutes
- Chenda Melam: 8 minutes
- Skit: 10 minutes
- Fashion Show: 10 minutes
- Other (see notes below): 5 minutes
Selection Process
- Limited Slots: Performance slots are limited; early registration is highly recommended.
- Auditions: GAMA reserves the right to conduct auditions based on the number of registrations. Audition dates (if needed) will be announced after registration closes.
- In case of overwhelming registrations, GAMA may close registration early with 24-hour notice.
Participation Guidelines
- Group Performances Only:
Solo performances are not permitted. Minimum of 6 participants per group (Fashion Show requires a minimum of 10 participants). - Team Size:
a) Teams are encouraged to involve as many members as possible to foster community participation.
b) Each participant must purchase an individual Onam event ticket (mandatory for participation). - Age Requirement:
Participants must be 10 years or older to join any event, except for skit, which may include younger participants. - Membership Requirement:
At least one team member must have an active GAMA membership to register for stage events. - One Program per Person:
Each individual may participate in only one program. Dual registrations will be cancelled. - Malayalee Participation Only:
Registration and participation are open exclusively to Malayalees.

All teams must submit the following details about their program:
- Team Name
- Number of Participants
- Name of Each Participant
- Program Description
- Emcee Announcement Details
- Lighting Requirements
- Props or Background Screen Requirements
Content & Theme Guidelines
- Performances must be Onam-themed and aligned with the spirit of the festival.
- GAMA strongly encourages incorporating Malayalam songs, themes, and Kerala cultural elements.
- Performances must be non-political and free from bias toward any race, religion, nationality, gender, or ethnic group.
Audio & Prop Requirements
- All audio files must be submitted by the deadline.
- Props or special stage requirements must be communicated well in advance to ensure proper arrangements.
✅ Final Decision
The final decision regarding program selection, scheduling, and acceptance rests with the GAMA Board of Directors.
