How to Participate? How are the steps calculated?

Since this is a virtual walk, your walking/jogging steps are calculated using a mobile application – PacerPacer is available as a free app on ios and android. No in-app purchase is required to use Pacer for this event. Once you download the app, Participants need to either carry the phone during Walk/Run or can use fitbit/smart watch that can be synchronized with your phone. When you register for the event, mobile application installation instruction will be given to you through e-mail/phone. Even though the steps are calculated for any activity, we recommend you to walk or jog regularly as a part of this event.
